Locked On Sports: For a real kick, watch Big Walt instead of ball

Locked On Sports: For a real kick, watch Big Walt instead of ball: "The greatest compliment you can bestow on an athlete is that he changes the way you watch the game. Magic Johnson and Larry Bird made fans of all of us in the NBA. Ichiro brought us a new ballgame in the summer of 2001.

Jones has exposed me to a brand new game of football. Compared to watching Jones, watching the ball is so boring.

Spotlight Jones and you will be in awe. He will pull and drive a guy 15 yards down the field. He will flatten him on a crack-back block.

If he weren't on your side it would be unfair. Remember when your older brother would hold the cookie just out of your reach and make you reach and flail. That's how opposing linemen must feel."

For once your writing isn't too purile, this article doesn't stink. But it is weird that you'd choose to write in after one of WJ's not so smooth games. I mean he had a holding penalty against STL and got blown up (which is extremely rare) on a couple plays. I can't argue how good he is of course but it is like writing an arrticle on how great Michael Jordan is. We already Know, you write this article as though this hasn't been going on for the past 3 or 4 years. Whoever does the Hiring and show selection for KJR just seems to be pretty unambitious kinda like "well, he's not the worst host we could find" and then just hires some clown. Were any other candidates interviewed for the time slot that Locke occupies (candidates of color perhaps) I doubt it, whatever In a couple hours it'll be time for the Stews and a more contemporary attitude (equality) towards sports radio. It's 2005, the lack of diversity at KJR is inexcusable, is it on purpose????

Fair comment about Walter's last game. I just thought it was time to point our his genius. In addition, I had a different design on the piece and then it took a life of its own and ended up solely on Walt.
